Born August 9, 1914 in Holyoke, Colorado

God Saw
God saw she was getting tired
and a cure was not to be,
so he put his arms around her
and whispered, "come with
Me".
With tearful eyes we watched
her suffer and saw her fade
away,
although we couldn't bear to
lose her,
we could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands laid to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
to us He only takes the best...
For "T-Bone"

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam.
And for a brief moment it's glory and beauty belong to the
world.
But then it flies on again
And though we wish it could have stayed, We feel so lucky to have seen it.

In Memory of CH
Kamakazze
I'll
lend you for a little while
My grandest foal, He said.
And
morn for when he's dead.
It may be one or twenty years,
Or
days or months, you see.
But will you, till I take him back
Take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden
you,
And should his stay be brief
You'll have treasured
memories
As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he
will stay,
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons
taught on earth
I want this foal to learn.
I've looked the
wide world over
In my search for teachers true.
And from the
throngs that crowd life's lanes
With trust, I have selected you.

Now will you give him your total love?
Nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate me when I come
To take him back again?
I know you'll
give him tenderness
And love will bloom each day.
And for the
happiness you've known
Forever grateful stay.
But should I
come and call for him
Much sooner than you'd planned
You'll
brave the bitter grief that comes
And someday you'll understand

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord your soul to keep.
If I knew it would be the last time that I would see you walk out
the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for
one more.
If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your
voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape
each action and word, so I could play
them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute
or two, to stop and say that "I love you," Instead of assuming that
you KNOW I do.
If I knew it would be the last time I would be
there to share your day,
well, I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let this one slip away.
For surely there's always
tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we
always get a second
chance to make everything all right.
There will always be
another day to say our "I love you's"
And certainly there's
another chance to say our "Anything I can do's."
But just in
case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like
to say
how much I love you and hope we never forget.
Tomorrow is not
promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today
may be the last
chance you get to hold your loved ones tight.
So, if you're
waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never
comes, you'll surely regret the day,
That you didn't take
that extra time for a smile, a hug, a kiss,
And you were too busy
to grant someone, what turned out to be their
one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear,
Tell
them how much you love them, And that you'll always hold them
dear.

PRAYER
"Prayer is the answer to every problem in life. It puts us in tune
with Divine Wisdom which
knows how to adjust everything perfectly.
So often we do not pray in certain situations because from out
standpoint the outlook
is hopeless. But nothing is impossible
with God.
Nothing is so entangled that it cannot be remedied. No human
relationship is too strained
for God to bring about reconciliation and
understanding.
No habit is so deeply rooted that it cannot be overcome. No one is
so weak that he cannot
be strong. No one is so ill that he
cannot be healed. No mind is so dull that it cannot
be made brilliant.
Whatsoever we need or desire, if we trust God, He will supply it. If
anything is causing
worry and anxiety, let us stop rehearsing
the difficulty and trust God's healing, love, and power."

I HAVE LEARNED
I've
learned-that it's not what you have in your life but who you have
in your life that counts.
I've learned-that heroes are the
people who do what has to be done when
it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.
I've learned-that you can get
by on charm for about fifteen minutes.
After that, you'd better
know something.
I've learned-that you shouldn't compare
yourself to the best that others can do.
I've learned-that
it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.
I've learned-that you should always leave loved ones with loving
words.
It may be the last time you see them.
I've
learned-that you can keep going long after you THINK you can't.
I've learned-that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how
we feel.
I've learned-that money is a lousy way of keeping
score.
I've learned-that my best friend and I can do anything
or nothing and
have the best time.
I've learned-that
sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you're down will
be the ones to help you get back up.
I've learned-that
sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that
doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I've learned-that true
friendship continues to grow, even over the
longest distance.
Same goes for true love.
I've learned-that just because
someone doesn't love you the way you want
them to doesn't mean
they don't love you with all they have.
I've learned-that
maturity has more to do with what types of experiences
you've had
and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how
many
birthdays you've celebrated.
I've learned-that no matter how
good a friend is, they're going to hurt
you every once in a while
and you must forgive them for that.
I've learned-that it
isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you have
to learn to forgive yourself.
I've learned-that no matter how
bad your heart is broken the world
doesn't stop for your grief.
I've learned-that our background and circumstances may have
influenced
who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I've learned-that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean
they
don't love each other And just because they don't argue, it
doesn't mean
they do.
I've learned-that we don't have to
change friends if we understand that
friends change.
I've
learned-that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It
could change your life forever.
I've learned-that two people
can look at the exact same thing and see
something totally
different.
I've learned-that no matter how you try to protect
your children, they
will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in
the process.
I've learned-that your life can be changed in a
matter of hours by
people who don't even know you.
I've
learned-that even when you think you have no more to give, when a
friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I've learned-that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent
human being.
I've learned-that the people you care about most
in life are taken from
you too soon.
I've learned that you
cannot make someone love you. All you can do is
be someone who
can be loved. The rest is up to them.
I've learned-that no
matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.
I've
learned-that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to
destroy it.
I've learned-that you can do something in an
instant that will give you
heartache for life.
I've
learned-that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

For Hoci
SBR Hocus Pocus
"Hoci" March 2005
He will be greatly missed.

May I Go?
May I go now? Do you think the time is right? May I say goodbye to
pain filled days and endless
lonely nights? I've lived my life and
done my best, an example tried to be. So can I take that
step beyond and set my spirit free? I
didn't want to go at first, I fought with all my might. But
something seems to draw me now to a
warm and living light. I want to go I really do. It's difficult to
stay. But I will try as best I can to
live just one more day. To give you time to care for me and
share your love and fears. I know you're
sad and afraid, because I see your tears. I'll not be far,
I promise that, and hope you'll always
know that my spirit will be close to you wherever you may go.
Thank you for loving me. You know I love
you too, that's why it's hard to say goodbye and end
this life with you. So hold me now just
one more time and let me hear you say, because
you care so much for me, you'll let me go
today.

Don't cry for the horses
That life has set free
A million
white horses
forever to be.
Don't cry for the horses
Now in God's hands
As they dance
and they prance
To a heavenly band.
They were ours as a gift
But never to keep
As they close
their eyes
Forever to sleep
Their spirits unbound
On silver wings they fly
A million
white horses
Against the blue sky.
Look up into heaven
You'll see them above
The horses we
loved
The horses we lost
Manes and tails flowing
They gallop through time
They were
never yours
They were never mine.
Don't cry for the horses
They'll be back someday
When our
day has come
They'll show us the way.
Do you hear the soft nicker
Close to your ear?
Don't cry
for the horses
Love the ones that are here.

RIDERS PRAYER
Dearest Creator in Heaven, give me strength to
guide
my horse. Make my hands soft & my head clear. Let my
horse understand me & I him. My heart you have blessed
with a
special love of these animals, let me never
lose sight of it.
My soul you have gifted with a deep need for them, let
that need
never lessen. Always let my breath catch as
the sun gleams on an
elegant head.
Always may my throat tighten at the sound of
gentle
nicker. Let the scent of fresh hay & a new bag of
grain
be sweet to me. Let the soft touch of a warm
nose on my hand
always bring a smile. I adore the joy
of a warm day on the farm.
The grace & splendor of a running horse, the thunder
of it's
hooves makes my eyes burn & my heart soar, let
it always be so.
Dearest Creator grant me patience,
for horses are harnessed wind
& wind can be flighty.
Let me not frighten or harm them, instead
show me ways
to understand them. Above all, dear Creator, fill my
life with them. When I pass from this world, send my
soul to no
heaven without them. For this love you have
given me graces my
existence & I shall cherish it &
praise You for it for all time.

Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have.
For God has said,

I will never forsake you."

judgment.
10. If
you're riding' ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and
then to make sure it's still there.
11. Lettin' the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier'n puttin' it

FINALLY: After eating an entire bull, a mountain lion felt so good
he started roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot
him...
The moral:
When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut.

When I Am Old
I shall wear diamonds
And a wide brimmed straw hat
With
Silver and Leather on it
And I shall spend my social security
On white wine and carrots
And sit in the alley of my barn
And listen to my horses breathe.
I will sneak out in the
middle of a summers night
And ride the sorrel colt
Across
the moonstruck meadow.
If my old bones will allow
And when
people come to call I will smile and nod
As I walk them past
the gardens to the barn
And show, instead, the beauty growing
here
In stalls fresh-lined with straw
I will learn to
shovel and sweat and
Wear hay in my hair as if it
were a
jewel.
And I will be an embarrassment to all
Who look down
on me.
Who have not yet found the peace in being free
To
love a horse as a friend,
A friend who waits at midnight hour
With muzzle and nicker and patient eyes
For the kind of woman
I will be
When I am
Old.

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his
son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of
showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm
of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked
his son, "How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father
asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?"
asked the father.
The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and
they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our
garden and they have a creek that has no end.
We have imported lanterns in our garden and they
have the stars at night.
Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have
the whole horizon.
We have a small piece of land to live on and they
have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve
others.
We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
We have walls around our property to protect us,
they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added,? "Thanks Dad for showing me how
poor we are."
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing?
Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave
thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying
about what we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have, especially
your friends!

48. If you don't ask, you don't get.
49. Yield.
50. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's
still a gift.
You never know when God is going to bless you!
Good things happen when you least expect them to.
Dear Lord, I thank You for this day. I thank
You for me being able to walk, talk, see and to hear this morning. I am
blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have
done so much for me and You keep on blessing me.
Forgive me this day for everything I have
done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you.
I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me
safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude
and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear
my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind so that I can
accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things that I have no
control over.
Praying
is the best response for me when I am pushed beyond my limits.
I know that when I cannot pray, You listen to
my heart anyway. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me
that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the
weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others.
I pray for those that are lost and for those who cannot find their way. I
pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who do
not know You intimately. I pray for those that will delete this without
sharing it with others. I pray for those that do not believe.
Nevertheless, I thank you that I believe.
I believe that God changes people and God
changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every
family member and their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their
homes and that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that
every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or
situation greater than God.
Every battle is in Your hands for You to
fight.
God Bless!
Just repeat this phrase and see how God
moves!
My Lord, I love you and I need you, come
into my heart, please.
Know that the person who sent this to you
continually prays for you.
That would be
me
