Some comments from the web site

Dilly, you are beautiful--but you should see your first born--Kassidy--now three, and what she has accomplished! Certified Therapy dog [Pets & People Foundation facebook pix], now passed test to commence Hospice work; this year received her Junior [3rd year] certificate from Harvard Canine Cognition Lab and returns again for Senior; works at agility and is told by everyone who meets her how gorgeous and sweet she is. Truly, what a love she is! Thanks Dilly--I am eternally grateful! Patricia. Find Kassidy on my page, Patreicia K

Dear Jan, Thank you for breeding and raising such a wonderful puppy. We have named the dog Mickey, after John's first dog. Mickey has adjusted very well to his new environment and is so smart that he has his routine down already. He has the sweetest disposition and we just adore him. He follows us around and loves to take walks. He sleeps in a bed in the family room with his favorite toy - a squirrel. Best regards, Leigh

Max is growing so fast, for awhile i think he was gaining a pound every other day.  He has slowed down now, he is quite a bit smaller then gun. Your right about taking a lot of pictures  because I look at pictures of when we first brought him home and its hard to believe he was ever that small. We took them camping with us down to the dunes they had a blast.  Max is spoiled rotten he goes to doggy daycare while we are at work and he sleeps on the bed which i swore would never happen in my house, but I don't have kids so he is kind of my baby.  Its weird how max and gun are so different there temperments and personalities are very different.  Gun is quiet and not real needy.  Max is voice-tress and always right on top of you.  He is very protective, but I love it.  They are aweseome dogs and we get complimented everywhere we take them.  I've seen several dobermanns since I got max and they really are good lo oking dogs compared to others.  Anyways I just wanted to let you know you gave your puppies good homes and that we love them.  If you want to see anymore pics let me know I have hundreds of max.  for awhile I was taking pictures everyday because he was growing so quickly and he always does funny things.  I have pictures of him standing on top of my patio table and he was just a little guy when he did it

Hello Jan,   I had to write and let you know how happy we are with our little girl. She has won over everyone around here, and wow she is a growing machine! To my utter dismay her ears are UP (in only 3 weeks)! She only had the stitches out on Friday and they are already standing beautifully. She is such a smart and brave little soul, she is exactly the dog I was hoping for in every single way.   Her funny paw curling at those toes is still tight some days but it is totally normal others but it never seems to bother her or slow her down. She is learning about where she is supposed be around the horses and she loves the farm.    My Husband named her and it suits her very well, Nauti. We are avid boaters and he was going for a "nautical" name but at the moment the spelling 'Naughty' is just as appropriate. Awe puppies!

Hi Jan I just wanted to email you and let you know the puppy we got from you about 4 months ago is so great.  We love him so much and he has the best temperament.  I Also he is so big he is already over 50 pounds.  We decided not to crop his ears and just let him be and he is adorable.  I just can't say enough good things about this puppy.

Thank You,
Nicole P.

Hi Jan~

First, I am so happy to have found your web site! You offer such support for Dobie owners wanting to feed a natural diet and question the use of vaccines. I found you when our 7 year old male, Kobie hurt his spine, and went paralyzed in his 2 front legs (We were looking for doberman websites that offered info on natural diet). We cared for him like a baby (he was on bed rest for a month) and eventually had to help him pass on last week when he suffered a major trauma to his front left leg, that would have required amputation. We are still deeply grieving his loss, but know that it can take a long time to find the right dog.

I am wondering if you ever have any adult dogs for sale? I would love to have a puppy, but we have two little girls (4 1/2 year old and 21 month old) and I am not sure that a puppy would be the best idea. That said I would like to have a healthy animal in our home. We live in Minnesota, and we purchased Kobie form a local breeder, that we realized later may not have been as ethical as we hoped. We used to volunteer for Dobe Rescue of Minnesota, both helping in paper work help, and some foster care before our daughters were born. I would appreciate any help, resources, and guidance you have to offer.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Jan,

Hope all is well.  A few pix of Arie attached.

He just returned from 3 weeks of dog training with an ex-marine dog trainer.

It's amazing how smart he is.

Take Care

Randy

I will be getting my baby girl in a week and your website has given me a lot of information that I needed/wanted to hear from a doberman breeder that has been doing it for a while.  Thank You again for your help.

Brent

Your website is wonderful-- easy to use & such beautiful pictures! Your horses & dogs are gorgeous.

We, too, are doberman lovers. We have one female, Jett, 7 1/2 years old, and just think she is the best dog ever. We rescued her from a shelter at 4 months old. Her "breeder" dumped her & her 2 sisters because he was tired of trying to sell them. She is our 3 year old's best friend-- she's loved him since the first moment we brought him home. She also seems to feel the same way about our new baby, 2 months old. She also loves our other pets- cats & a beagle & a papillon.

I was intrigued by your site for several reasons. First, your dobes are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen! We want another Doberman, so I was looking at your puppy pages. I fear, though, that we would not be able to afford to purchase one. I know that puppies of such high quality have a larger price, and it is worth every penny.

However, other things caught my eye- your vaccinations page & the raw diet. After reading about the raw diet, I think we may start feeding in this manner. I have a very dear friend of many years, whom I respect immensely, & she, too, feeds raw & has issues with vaccines. She's just about convinced me to switch to raw, and after reading your site, I believe I will. Your dobes certainly look to be thriving on it!

I also would like to commend you for your great job in describing in detail what type of dog the Doberman is and the lifestyle that is best for them. So many are only into making money off of them-- it's so nice to see a breeder with a solid program and a true love of the breed.

I'm sorry to have written such a long message, but I am so impressed, and am now a big fan of the Sunny Brook Ranch Doberman. Best wishes to you, your family and your animals.

Sincerely,

Denise

Hi Jan...Macha is doing wonderfully.  She is already potty trained and is so obedient I am thinking about doing some Obed. work with her.  She is the best puppy I have ever had (including my own).  She is a joy and we love her to pieces..
Best Regards,
Lisande

Good evening,

We are very impressed with your site.  Of all the breeder sites we’ve looked at, we like your philosophy the best.   We are interested in learning more about the male puppy that is available on the website.  However, we would be just as happy with a black female from an upcoming litter as a household pet.

Thank you so much for your information on the internet. I have enjoyed reading your

Comments. Thank you for taking the time to help educate the population in Doberman

Jan:
Sorry we haven't gotten back to you in awhile. Life is busy with a new puppy who thinks she is queen of the house! We love her to pieces. She sleeps on her back on the furniture! She follows Chip everywhere and goes to work with him. She is so full of energy.
Tests came out okay. She had all her shots and the ears are doing okay. She is 6 month old and weighs about 55 lbs. We will send pictures soon.
Thanks again

Jan,

I just wanted to get you a couple pics of Marlee (Doberman) and Mia (Schnauzer). They love each to death and cannot stand to be apart from each other. These pics were taken about a month or two ago. Marlee is sprouting up fast!!

10 Doberman Dog Laws
  1. If I like it, it’s mine.
  2. If it’s in my mouth, it’s mine.
  3. If I can take it from you, it’s mine.
  4. If I had it a little while ago, it’s mine.
  5. If it’s mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
  6. If I’m chewing something up, all the pieces are mine.
  7. If it just looks like mine, it’s mine.
  8. If I saw it first, it’s mine.
  9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
  10. If it’s broken, it’s yours.

Inner Strength

If you can start the day without caffeine or pep pills,
If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat the same food everyday and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when loved ones are too busy to give you time,
If you can overlook when people take things out on you when,
through no fault of yours, something goes wrong,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can face the world without lies and deceit,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
If you can do all these things,
Then you are probably the family dog.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.

You are his life, his love, his leader.

He will be yours, faithful and true to the last beat of his heart.

You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

If a Dog Were Your Teacher....

You would learn stuff like.....
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
When it’s in your best interest-practice obedience.
Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory.
Take naps and stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting, when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.
When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
No matter how often you’re scolded, don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout... run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you’re not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

I would appreciate if you would ask the IRS to review the “Lobbying Activities” that are described in the Overview Summary that I have copied and pasted to this E-Mail.
What is seemingly so incredulous is the fact that on the Tax Returns for 2005-2007 the HSUS
affirmatively stated “NO” to the following questions: “(D)uring the year, did the organization
attempt to influence national, state or local regulation, including any attempt to influence
public opinion on a legislative matter or referendum, through the use of “Volunteers” or “Paid
staff or management?” However, when one reviews and dissects the self-described legislative activities, accomplishments and successes that HSUS touts on over 300 pages of documents downloaded from its own Website, as well as its description of its “Lobbying Activities” on its Tax Returns for 2004-2008, the actual amount of revenue expended by the HSUS on its direct and indirect lobbying activities for the last five years may approach or exceed $200 MILLION DOLLARS. If HSUS “talks” like a “Lobbyist;” “hawks” like a “Lobbyist;” and “stalks” like a “Lobbyist,” I believe that a basis exists to assume that it is a “Lobbying” Organization, notwithstanding its professed claim that it is entitled to a tax-exempt status as a “public charity.”On reflection, I believe that all tax payers have a right to assume that no public charity is above the law, and that no public charity should be permitted to ignore explicit IRS limitations on lobby activities.
Thank you considering my request.
Respectfully Submitted,
(Your Name)
